Dreaming of blue in Summery St. Ives — Cornwall, UK

Dreaming of blue in Summery St. Ives — Cornwall, UK

As autumn comes around and the weather all around England starts to change, the summer enclave of Cornwall appears to not have gotten the memo.

The coastal town of St. Ives is still brimming with tourists enjoying the warm weather and views to the glittering harbour.

A visual overload of hand painted board signs advertise the ubiquitous pasties, creamy Cornish ice cream and the quintessential cream tea. It's just another sunny Sunday by the seaside.

From the town centre, a multitude of small cobbled streets intertwine and lead to The Island, home of St. Nicholas chapel, and the best viewpoint of the entire town. Walking through St. Ives is in many ways similar to walking along a Mediterranean coastal village.

Low whitewashed cottages with colourful front gates, wide soft white sand beaches filled with surfers and a thriving artistic community. The only thing missing? The tiles.
